How We Can Help

Kids are constantly growing, learning, and discovering the world through movement. But sometimes, they need a bit of extra support to build confidence in their bodies, develop physical skills, or navigate health or developmental challenges.

As exercise physiologists, we work with children and young people to support their physical development in ways that feel fun, achievable, and personalised. Whether your child has a diagnosed condition, is recovering from an injury, or just needs a little help catching up to peers, we’re here to help them move, play and thrive.

We use movement as a tool to support not just physical health, but also confidence, emotional regulation, and independence. Every child is different, so every plan is, too.

What We Support

We can assist with:

  • Developmental delays in gross motor skills (e.g., walking, jumping, balance)

  • Anxiety or low confidence around movement or physical activity

  • Improving strength, balance, coordination and motor planning

  • Supporting participation in sport, school activities and daily play

  • Building confidence through success-based movement

  • Developing emotional regulation through structured physical activity

  • Making movement fun and accessible for every personality and ability

Our Approach

We believe movement should feel like play, not pressure. Our sessions are engaging, flexible, and built around each child’s interests, sensory needs, and learning style.

Whether it’s turning a balance task into a game, racing toy cars for core strength, or jumping through imaginary lava for coordination, we meet kids where they’re at and make movement fun. For some, that might look like gentle encouragement. For others, it’s full-speed obstacle courses!

We work closely with parents and carers, and when helpful, with teachers, therapists and support teams, to make sure our goals are shared and our strategies are consistent.
